A training area with strength and cardio equipment has different flooring requirements than a gymnastics or free weight area. The same applies to the stretching area or functional training with TRX or the cycling room.
In addition, the conditions of the building in which the gym is located must be taken into account. In a residential and commercial building, the floor must absorb shocks, vibrations and impact sound more than in an industrial hall.
The optimum fitness floor is therefore precisely matched to the specific conditions at the place of use. WARCO therefore offers a variety of floor coverings with different parameters for fitness studios. The relevant parameters are indicated for each floor covering on a scale from 1 to 5.
Vibration damping and structure-borne sound insulation
Weight stations can be very noisy. Jumping and running in place, loud roller training equipment and dumbbell drops: there are many sources of sound in gyms. These noises, i.e. vibrations, are transmitted into the building if the floor slab is not decoupled.
This disturbs not only the fitness athletes, but also the neighbors. Dropping dumbbells and kettlebells can even cause damage to the fabric of the building.
The gym floor from WARCO provides effective acoustic and mechanical decoupling of the floor slab and the training surface. The rubber floor absorbs vibrations - structure-borne sound and noise do not occur in the first place.
When properly constructed, a WARCO rubber floor can even dissipate the kinetic energy of dropping barbells.

WARCO produces fitness floors in various construction types. These differ in bulk density, thickness, material, surface and structure.
Especially for cross-training, thick fitness floors cushion dumbbells and kettlebells, dampen typical workout sounds, and acoustically decouple the training area from the building.
A fitness floor from WARCO is easy to maintain and can be kept hygienically clean by hand or with a floor cleaning device. The fitness mats are also available in fire protection class Cfl-S1.
WARCO's elastic floor protection mats provide a safe and firm footing while easily cushioning steps, jumps and thrown weights.
This rubber floor reduces the risk of falls and injuries during fitness training. Because the grippy surface is non-slip and provides fall protection.

The elasticity of the floor decreases slightly with increasing density, but still remains pleasantly perceptible.

WARCO flooring can be laid quickly. The tiles are simply laid on the existing, load-bearing subfloor and join together positively via the puzzle teeth on the edge. The amount of work required is low, and the area coverage is high, even in angled rooms.
WARCO floor protection mats also make sense for gymnastics, aerobics or yoga. On the one hand they create a pleasant floor feeling, on the other hand they insulate against the cold of the ground.
WARCO floor protection mats are only laid out. They are not glued. A connection system in the form of small puzzle teeth, the zipper teeth, is molded into the edges of the tiles. When the tiles are fitted together, they connect without further action to form a homogeneous tile carpet.
