The horse box mat is made of a special mix of particularly robust and resistant elastomers, designed especially for the use in the horse stall. The horse box mat can be laid in the traditional box keeping, in the run, open stable or in a pasture hut - it means, in all areas where large horses (warm- or cold-blooded) stand and rest. If used properly, the horse box mat can serve for an extraordinarily long time. It's water-permeable, ventilated from the bottom and it insulates well against ground cold. It dams impact noise, protects the horse's locomotor system and is slip-resistant. It can be used by a tractor and it's suitable for mechanical mucking out.

As in every stall flooring, it should be noted that there is sufficient bedding that could bind the accumulating urine in case of a conventional stabling (without unlimited access to areas with sand and grass).

Colour
Brick red

In the colour brick red, the black rubber granulate (SBR) from the car tyres is mixed with a binder, into that a brick red colour pigment (iron oxide) was mixed. The black car tyre rubber granules are coated with the brick red colour. Brick red is a colour hue that can be found for hundreds of years in construction materials for roofs, walls and floors. According to this viewing habit, brick red products can be mounted almost everywhere.

Material

The mix consists in a relatively coarse chopped elastomers with high resistance against mechanical and chemical loading, as well as a coarse rubber granulate (mainly natural rubber - NR and Styrene-Butadiene Rubber, SBR). This material has been especially optimised for the manufacturing of stall mats for the horsekeeping.

Assembly or connection system

The tiles are mounted edge to edge (seamlessly). The section of a plate row cut as overhang is then the beginning tile of the next row. Laying in continuous offset is particularly material-saving and the plates are placed in a stable was. In any case, the surface has to be bordered from all sides.

Structure of the underside

The bottom side of the tile is strongly structured on the entire surface. There are symmetrically arranged "frustums" with a height of about 15 mm looking from the bottom side of the wear layer. They are functional elements leading to the optimisation of the damping and drainage. The tiles can be laid on a bound (in particular cases also on unbound) base course or on a plastic honeycomb grid. Please take note of the laying instruction.
