The gym flooring differentiates from other gym floors due to its especially homogenous, closed and slightly velvety to the touch, but nevertheless slip resistant surface. At the same time, the gym flooring is particularly abrasion-proof and resistant against mechanical loading - also in case of barbell dropping. It's especially suitable for movement orientated training, such as CrossFit.

The handy slabs can be easily laid without sticking on a viable base course and can be cleaned manually or mechanically. This product has been manufactured with in a high-concentrated design. Thus, it's particularly resistant against abrasion and mechanical loading, low or not water-permeable and has a homogenous surface.

A car tyre is made of black dyed rubber (SBR). That's why the rubber granulate made of car tyres is also black. During processing with a colourless binder, black products are made. Similarly to the car tyres, the colour changes in these products after a short time from full black to a dark grey, also known as anthracite.

Material

The rubber granulate with irregularly formed particles is obtained from discarded tyres. It mainly consists in the high-valuable mix of natural rubber (NR) and synthetically manufactured Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR). The material properties of the WARCO preform largely correspond to those known from SBR. A very fine granulate with an edge length from of up to 0.5 mm creates especially even surfaces.

Assembly or connection system

The edges of every tile are formed as a zip toothed strip (dovetail joint). Due to the interlocking of the plates during the laying and the form-fit connection arising this way, a permanently connected, positionally stable tile carpet. That's why the plates (normally) aren't connected with (pasted to) the base course. The connection of the rubber granulate tiles as a zip is particularly stable, durable and safe.

Structure of the underside

A drainage system consisting in 4 mm deep drainage channels across the elements and about 15 mm deep hemispherical domes is formed into the bottom side of the tiles. The tiles can be laid on almost every workable base course, also unbound. Please take note of the laying instruction.

The higher the indicated value, the harder the material and the lower the penetration of an object that puts a point-load on the material. Typical point-loads are high-heel shoes, table or chair legs, plant tubs on wheels, some kinds of pedestals for devices and appliances.

In individual cases, it can be tested on-site on a material sample if the chosen material has a compression strength sufficient for the desired application.
